Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between mullion doors and glass-ready doors?
Mullion doors feature decorative bars designed to divide the glass portion of the door, providing a more distinct and creative look. Traditional glass-ready doors typically feature one solid piece of glass with no obstructed view. Mullion doors are a great option for traditional, vintage, or rustic home designs. If you prefer a more modern finish, glass-ready doors are a better design choice.
Do your glass-ready cabinet doors come with glass inserts?
Our glass-ready cabinet doors do not come with glass. Once you place an order for glass cabinet doors, we recommend buying glass panels from a local retailer.
How do I install the glass once I have the door?
Glass panels are typically installed using silicone, wood trim, or rubber filler pieces called Hafele stops. To install, lower the glass panel into the frame and ensure it's lined up with the inside edges. Press firmly and wipe away any sealant. Allow the sealant to dry completely before hanging the glass cabinet doors onto your existing cabinets.
Can I order unfinished glass ready cabinet doors?
Yes, you can order glass cabinet doors finished or unfinished from our website. Unfinished doors must be painted or stained before being installed in your kitchen or bathroom.
Is mitered or cope & stick better?
Mitered cabinet doors have a mitered joint that joins the corners at a 45-degree angle, while Cope & Stick join the corners together at a 90-degree angle. Mitered glass-ready cabinet doors have a more complex construction and can be more expensive than Cope & Stick. When considering which option is best for your project, consider the type of construction your solid cabinets require and choose the one that best suits your budget.
